bachelor parties & smut

This definition is straight from the Winkpedia Encylopedia.

A bachelor party (also called a stag party, stag night (UK and Ireland), or bucks party (Australia)) is a party held for a bachelor shortly before he is married, to make the most of his final opportunity to engage in activities a new wife might not approve of, or merely to spend time bonding with his male friends. A bachelor party may involve activities such as going to a strip club, hiring a female stripper or escort, drinking alcohol and gambling.

The tradition is thought to have originated with a bachelor dinner that was traditional in ancient Sparta.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do I bring this topic of "stag parties" up, you ask? It just so happens that HHH is young enough- to have single friends and several bachelor parties on the calendar this year. I have one in July. I can be young, too. The majority of HHH friends are either looking(very intently mind you into the bottom of a vodka glass or bellying up to a bar at their local dive) for their future wives. Then there are the others- heading down the blissful path of marriage.
Do these boys care about the actual wedding? The ceremony. My guess not so much. At least the ones that aren't married or even the ones that have already taken the plunge -wish they could participate in bachelor parties, every weekend. Picking flowers, nah. Picking strippers- very much.
What happened to the days when a bachelor party was for one night? One night,"hey guys let's go into the city and have a few." Ahh, apparently not so cool anymore. It seems like every bachelor party is longer by days and farther by miles. Which of course requires even more time for recovery when they return.
Now don't get me wrong, I support the trips. What I don't understand is -why they have to keep the party going for days on end?

As far as I know my husband and I, well we are married. Just like any other couple with children. He still finds time to go out and act like -well how men act. He certainty doesn't need the excuse of a bachelor party.

From the looks of the definition above- this all started with just a simple dinner. Dinner folks- can anyone say pizza?

This fragment was another favorite "his final opportunity to engage in activities a new wife might not approve of".... uhmm okay.
Not to mention I have to believe most of our hubby's still do things that we don't necessarily approve it.
Maybe I am just talking about leaving dirty socks on the floor. Or showing us their bare bottom every time they have an opportunity. Wait your hubby doesn't do this?

Anyway I have to say it is all very crazy and makes no sense. My deal with HHH is- you spend on me what you spend on strippers and booze. You may see me next week with something fancy :)
